our journey to camping

With two decades under our belt and four kids, we had always been sticks and bricks hotel travelers. We bought our first toy hauler in 2018 to travel for our son’s BMX races so we could enjoy the races without having to leave to go to hotels, but it evolved into so much more.

During the Summer of 2018, while traveling a multi-state National Park circuit, we realized that we loved camping with full hook-ups (most races we were boondocking), we loved traveling with our four kids and seeing all this country has to offer AND we were introduced to the idea of full-timing.

We met so many amazing families that were homeschooling like us and had given up sticks and bricks to travel the country with their family.

In 2019 we shed our S&B and began our full-time journey. We’re settled for the Winter in Ohio while our trailer is in sunny CA. We will pick up where we left off in mid-2020.

Out of the box camping

As former subscription box owners, we have shipped thousands of subscription boxes. We purchased Out of the Box Camping in December of 2019 and began making plans to change the name to Camp Life Crate. As passionate travelers and full-timers who has spent hundreds of nights in a campground and enjoyed many weekends with new friends around the campfire, we can’t wait to pour our passion for all things Camp Life into the Camp Life Crate.

The Arches National Park. One of the many National Parks we visited in the Summer of 2018. You’ll see my husband and three of our our kids in this photo.
